Mid-September is when it finally starts to feel like fall, and the first fall activity I always do is go apple picking. We have so many amazing orchards in upstate New York, so when I came home last weekend, visiting my favorite one was the first thing on my to-do list.
My family and I have been coming to this orchard every single year for as long as I can remember, and it is always what I look forward to the most come September. This orchard is rated the number one in the country (and for good reason!). Not only do they have the best orchard and apples, but they also have a distillery where they make hard apple cider and offer tastings in one of the barns. Rosé hard apple cider? Um, yes please! They also have the usual suspects: apple fritters, apple cider, and the like. So much fun!
This was my first opportunity to really wear a fall-appropriate outfit (it has been very hot lately!), so I broke out a few of the pieces that I have been most excited to wear… I’ve been waiting (not so) patiently to finally pull them out of my closet, so I did the first chance I got!
I purchased this top a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! I love this shade of red and the lace-up look it has, which is a trend that has carried over into the new season. This navy skirt is another piece that I recently bought, and I’ve already worn it to my internship a few times. It’s a denim-like material and I love the a-line cut. If you purchase this, though, definitely go a size down!
Lastly… These boots! I am obsessed with over-the-knee boots and when I was doing my fall shopping at the end of summer, I knew I needed to add a few more pairs into my wardrobe. These grey faux suede ones were just was I was looking for! They will be perfect come wintertime, too, which is a plus.

Super cute outfit! Also so jealous you’re able to go apple picking! It’s something I miss the most about New England…we don’t have apple orchards in FL, just citrus and some other fruits!

Thank you so much, Jackie! So glad you enjoyed the post. Maybe some time you will have to make a special trip back up to the northeast during the fall-time so that you can go again! xx

This outfit is way too cute! It’s got me so excited to dress for fall. If only it would cool down in KY!! I haven’t been apple picking since the 1st grade but I have been wanting to go for a few years now. I’m going to have to see where the closest one to my house is!
